Like most people have been saying lately, 2017 sucked for me, too.
It started off with Trump, so obviously we were doomed from the start. He wasn't the only reason though—I also went through a lot of personal problems. It felt like 2017 would never end. Even factoring in all the hard times, it's easy to realize that I'm still lucky and overall happy.
So many amazing people entered my life and I had a bunch of great opportunities, but some of the most stressful moments I've ever experienced happened this past year. Plus, there were way too many times when I felt like I lost myself or didn't know who I was anymore. That's why I'm determined to make 2018 a lot better. I'm setting intentions and goals for the year to get myself where I want to be. Here's a few of them:
- Practice self-care as often as possible
- Stop caring about anything/anyone not worth my time
- Get back on track with eating healthy and working out
Even though 2017 was the definition of overwhelming, I'm expecting 2018 to be the same. (I'm graduating in May, so bring on the adult life.) The only difference? The pressure and expectations I put on myself. It's all about my mindset, right?
Cheers to 2018!
